Specially trained dogs to help blind, deaf and otherwise disabled guests are always welcome on board WOW air flights.
No special charges, weight restrictions or cage requirements apply.
The dogs may not occupy a seat or the walkway.
If possible, please use a muzzle and/or leash for your service dog when boarding the aircraft.
WOW air does not accept liability if a service dog is denied entry to the destination country. It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure that the service animal is good to enter the EU. More information here: http://ec.europa.eu/food/animals/pet-movement_en
Booking a service dog
Service dogs must be booked via our Customer Service Center at least 48 hours prior to departure.
PLEASE NOTE! For our guest to be able to travel with service and emotional support dogs, they must have an authorization from MAST - the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority.
MAST - the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority - requires travelers with service and emotional support dogs to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information before departure:
Name and address of traveler/handler of service dog.
Name, breed, weight and microchip number of the service dog.
Flight details, including flight numbers and arrival/departure dates/times to and from KEF airport.
Copy of the dogs‘s registration documents as a service dog, if available.
Once MAST has received this information, they can issue the authorization for the dog to travel through Iceland.
Identifying a service dog
The service dog must be easily recognizable as a service dog. It must have an ID card; written documentation proving his ability to act as a service dog; a harness and/or tags plus any further documentation required in the destination country where the dog will be entering. Please note that written confirmation stating the passenger's need to travel with a service dog may only be required if verbal assurance is not credible.
Traveling to the United Kingdom
Please not that you must book your service dog through our Customer Service Center at least 48 hours prior to travel.

In order for your service dog to be allowed onto flight you need to contact the Animal Reception Center (ARC) at least 48 hours prior to departure, by telephone +44 (0) 129 355 5580 or email: email@example.com
ARC will check if all documentation, including vaccination details, is correct and provide you with a pre-approval letter. They‘ll also be able to advise you if any documentation should be missing or incomplete. There is a fixed fee for the pre-approval letter which is paid directly to the ARC.
If you are not able to proof a pre-approval letter at the time of check-in we will unfortunately not be able to allow your service dog on board the flight.
Connecting through Keflavik Airport
Animals in transit are not permitted to come in contact with other animals at the airport according to rules and regulations from the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority. Passengers traveling with service dogs, who are connecting through Keflavik Airport must wait for their connecting flight in a designated area at the airport. At the time of departure a member of staff at the airport will accompany the passenger and the service dog to the departure gate.
