Phil Calvert, or Philwaukee as we know and love him, took his charm and enthusiasm all the way to Montréal and documented his Canadian adventure on the WOW air Snapchat account. Thanks for the laughs, Phil!
So Phil, tell us, what are your top 5 Montréal moments?
Montréal had so much to offer. Having to break my trip down into just 5 top moments really doesn't do this great city justice, but I will try! Just keep in mind that the list might change in the next 30 minutes.
MY TOP 5 MONTRÉAL MOMENTS!
From snowy winters to hot and muggy summers, Montréal has a wide variety of climates and the city offers many solutions. Skiing, biking and boat rides is how you handle the sun & snow. But what do you do when it rains? Well, I went indoor skydiving and it was amazing. It's an adrenaline rush that's hard to describe.
Watching the Icelandic national football team's historic victory over England during the EURO 2016 in a sports bar in Montréal, is something I will never forget. Everyone in the bar wanted Iceland to WIN and of course they did. EPIC! Oh yeah, I also snapped about the whole thing and got mentioned in the biggest blog in the world aimed at airline marketing.
A real WOW moment!
The Olympic Stadium! It looks sooooo COOL, almost like a spaceship. I've seriously never seen anything like it. I was in AWWWWE ...
The Montréal Skyline! So on the West side of Montréal lies a Mountain called "Mount Royal". People liek to hike up the mountain to see Montréal's best view. The skyline was amazing. Having no expectations about the city of Montréal and then seeing this skyline brought a HUGE smile to my face and appreciation to my heart.
The food is amazing! From smoked meats, bagels, and Portuguese chicken, but I have to say that I'm in love with POUTINE! Poutine is a Canadian dish, originating in Ouebéc, made with french fries (which is my favorite) and cheese curds, topped with light brown gravy. ONE night I had it for dinner, only to wake up the next morning and have it again for breakfast. I'll would go back just for the poutine!
